For builder Kane Constructions, TLS supplied and installed a two-stop goods lift at the Iglu Student Accommodation building on Russell Street in Melbourne's CBD (project P0521-49).
Unlike our free-standing warehouse installations, this lift was built INSIDE an existing masonry shaft — every column, guide and rail rigged into position with chain hoists in a tight city-centre building, with no room for a crane and no margin for error. It's exactly the kind of work our in-shaft goods lift design is made for: minimal pit, compact footprint, and componentry sized to be carried in and assembled where it stands.

Goods lifts in residential and accommodation buildings carry stock, linen and deliveries between levels so stairs and passenger lifts don't have to. Every TLS goods lift is engineered to comply with AS 1418.8, the Australian Standard for goods hoists.
