About Total Lifting Pty Ltd — Goods Lifts Made in Hallam, Victoria

Total Lifting Pty Ltd is an Australian designer, manufacturer, installer and service provider of goods lifts, goods hoists and workstation cranes. We are based at Hallam, in Melbourne’s south-east, and we supply businesses Australia-wide.

Most lifting companies do one part of the job. We do all of it — we design the equipment, build it in our own factory, install it on your site, and come back to service it. The people who made your lift are the people who maintain it.

• Goods hoists and goods lifts — column and scissor designs with up to 12 metres of travel, engineered to AS 1418.8.
• Light capacity goods lifts — for mezzanines, stockrooms and first-floor workshops.
• Bin hoists — fully galvanised, built for bin rooms that get hosed out.
• Workstation and jib cranes — overhead handling over a bench, a machine or a whole bay.
• Scissor lift tables and platforms — from light 250 kg tables to heavy platforms rated to 10,000 kg.
• Material handling equipment — pallet handling and wrapping, forklift attachments, vacuum and pneumatic lifters and industrial towing.

Our equipment is fabricated at our Hallam factory, and wherever the job allows we trial-assemble it before it leaves — so the first time it goes together is not on your site, in front of your trades.

For the Burnside Village shopping centre redevelopment in Adelaide, we built a galvanised bin hoist in Hallam, trial-assembled it, trucked it over in modular sections, and installed it with the same crew that made it. That job is written up on our blog, along with many others.

We work right across Australia — Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and regional sites in between.

Our customers come from warehousing, manufacturing, construction, logistics, retail, hospitality and education. Some need a goods lift designed into a new building. Some are replacing a hoist that has done thirty years. Some just want a crane over a workstation so nobody is lifting by hand any more.

Goods hoists in Australia are governed by AS 1418.8, and everything we build is engineered to comply with it. At handover you receive compliance documentation, an operations manual and warranty — not a machine and a handshake.

After that, lifting equipment needs routine inspection to stay safe and stay compliant. How often depends on how hard it works, and we will tell you honestly which interval yours needs.

A lift that stops is not an inconvenience — it is a floor of stock that cannot move. Our lift service and troubleshooting pages walk you through the common faults yourself, because half the time you can have it running again before anyone needs to drive out.

When it does need us, we come. We also service equipment we did not build.
