Light Capacity Goods Lifts

A light capacity goods lift moves stock between levels where a full-size goods hoist is more than you need — a mezzanine office, a retail stockroom, a café kitchen, a first-floor workshop. Total Lifting Solutions designs, manufactures and installs them at our Hallam, Victoria factory, engineered to AS 1418.8 and installed Australia-wide.

The problem it solves is simple. Someone is carrying boxes up stairs, or a pallet is going up on a forklift that was never meant to be in that part of the building. Both are slow, and both are how people get hurt.

• Mezzanine storage — the most common one. Goods up, empties and waste back down.
• Retail stockrooms — moving stock between the shop floor and an upper or lower level without tying up the passenger lift.
• Hospitality — kitchens, cellars and function rooms on different levels.

If your loads are heavier, or you need more travel, our goods hoists cover column and scissor designs with up to 12 metres of travel. If you are moving waste and recycling bins, a bin hoist is the purpose-built answer.

What is a light capacity goods lift?
A goods lift sized for smaller loads and shorter travel, usually between two levels, where a full goods hoist would be more than the job needs.

Can it go into an existing building?
Usually yes — that is most of what we do. Send us photos of the space and the levels involved and we will tell you what fits.

Can people ride in it?
No. A goods lift carries goods, not people. It is not built or rated to carry passengers.

Does it meet Australian Standards?
Yes — engineered to comply with AS 1418.8, with compliance documentation, an operations manual and warranty supplied at handover.

How much does one cost?
